General Introduction

This Wiegand converter adopt high performance 433MHz transmit module for wireless communication, solving the installation problem in door access control system where the site not easy to install by wire. The converter working range up to 500 meters with our standard antenna, and even over 1000meters when change to use a powerful antenna. User should be attention that at least one pair (2pcs or more) of wireless Wiegand modules are required to order for achieve the transmission and reception functions.

The wireless Wiegand module automatically recognizes the Wiegand signal formats from Wiegand 26bits to 80bits (even more when request a customized device). Various kinds of manufacturers of Wiegand RFID readers or other Wiegand device can automatically recognize by this converter and use them without other settings.

Wireless channel Settings

Connect the module to your computer by a USB-C cable and configure it as a serial port with adaptive baud rate. Use serial debugging software to send commands for channel setup, ensuring both transmitter and receiver operate on the same channel.  Multiple wireless Wiegand modules in adjacent areas should be configured to different channels separately.  Within a 200-meter range, install multiple wireless Wiegand modules spaced 2-3 channels apart to prevent interference.

Device default channel: 10

Set channel command: SET CHANNEL=XX (the command letter is capital)

Query channel command: CONFIG (the command letter is capital)
