Communication Format
To transmit data from USB HID device to Wiegand device input interface, support most popular USB barcode scanner (HID type, no need driver for windows), USB RFID card reader, USB magnetic card reader, USB QR scanner, USB hand held reader, USB keyboard, and other USB HID devices, etc. Please note that our converter cannot support all USB device especially USB virtual COM, and any other USB device when it working with Windows and must install USB driver, so before purchase our converter please check your USB device carefully. The simply and fast way to check out the compatibility is connect your USB device such as USB QR scanner to a new computer with pure Windows OS (never install other additional USB driver), if it the windows OS can easy find the USB device easy, so it is a USB HID device, so it can working with this mode of USB to Wiegand converter.
Before testing communication of the device, please check the connection and make sure it is correct, connect USB interface via USB cable to USB HID device, connect Wiegand interface to device have Wiegand input such as the Wiegand interface of access controller, usually D0 to D0, D1 to D1, GND to GND, +12V to power+12V (please check the user manual of USB HID device and Wiegand device for get more details)
Most access controller support WG26bit or WG34bit, but some of them not support both, so in case there have other WG format, please try to check out exact bit format and response to our sales for make special upgrade for suit the application.
WG34bit support max 32 digit data, that is to say 4 byte hex 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF (Decimal number 4,294,967,295), so our converter WG output data range must in 0 to 4,294,967,295, over this range there have mistake to show. This means the barcode number can accept the same range.
The default mode of converter only transfers numbers; all words shall be ignored, for example:
Barcode read data: "123ABC456", converter transfer only: "123456"
"ABC123ABC456" converter transfer only: "123456"
"ABCDEFG123456789" converter transfer only: "123456789"
"http://domain.com/ticket/ID&-abcdef12345678" converter transfer only: "12345678"
"A1B2C3D4E5F678G" converter transfer only "12345678"
